What is a Head Spa?+
A relaxation and scalp-health treatment built around a gentle scalp massage, deep cleansing, and nourishing products chosen for your hair and scalp. It eases dryness and buildup, brings circulation to thinning areas, and deep-conditions the hair — all while feeling wonderful.
What should I wear, and how should I prepare?+
Comfortable clothing — you may want to be a couch potato afterward. A robe is provided if you'd rather change. Come without makeup if possible, and with hair combed and tangle-free to make the most of your time. Skip recently applied self-tanner, since the treatment uses a water mist.
Is anyone advised against getting a Head Spa?+
Most people over 12 enjoy it, with adjustments available for sensitivity. It's not recommended within two weeks of chemical treatments, with braids, extensions, or synthetic hair, with a skin infection or head wound, or with certain spine or neck injuries or product allergies — check with your doctor if you're unsure. Wait 48 hours after a Head Spa before coloring or lightening.
What training does the Head Spa operator have?+
Only a licensed cosmetologist performs the treatment, licensed through the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
Does it help with thinning hair, eczema, or psoriasis?+
It improves scalp circulation and nourishes follicles, which supports a hair-loss routine and can soothe irritation — but it isn't a clinical treatment for conditions like eczema or psoriasis, which call for a dermatologist.
How often should I get one, and what else does it help with?+
Weekly is fine without a contraindicated scalp condition; every 3–4 weeks is great for hair growth goals. It's an effective ongoing part of a scalp-health routine, especially for dryness, buildup, or general upkeep.
How will my hair look and feel afterward?+
Shinier, softer, and lighter, with less buildup, dandruff, and itchiness — and a noticeably healthier scalp.
